As a retired U.S. Marine, Chris Parsons’ values of integrity and hard work are more than just words. He is a local, growing up in Twinsburg and Peninsula, graduating from Woodridge High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps right out of high school and spent 20 years in uniform. His duty assignments range from California to North Carolina and overseas to Japan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Chris’ job in the Marines was in communications and computer networks for the National Intelligence Community. During his tenure in the Marines, Chris was recognized multiple times for exceptional performance with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. Chris and his wife Tammy have been married for over 20 years and have three daughters. They live in Bath Township and love spending time raising chickens, gardening and making maple syrup in their own back yard. In his spare time, Chris is a volunteer with the veterans-based disaster response organization, Team Rubicon. He deploys to natural disaster sites to help communities recover from the tragedies that they have experienced.
